Inventor Craig Frederick, Jr. of Springfield, OH has created a weed trimer that attaches to a lawnmower to save homeowners and landscapers a huge amount of time and energy!
Zero turning radius riding mowers are very popular. They allow their users to cut large areas of grass in a minimal amount of time while allowing the rider to sit in comfort. However, due to their size, they are not proficient at cutting close to objects such as fences, buildings, and trees. This means a person must go back afterward with a trimmer. Craig just knew there had to be a way to simplify things. In turn, he was inspired to develop the Time Trimmer!
The invention is an apparatus that attaches to a lawn tractor and performs the function of a weed eater, so a user can trim weeds as they mow! A mounting arm supports a line trimmer at the proper height and allows it to swing in an arc-shaped path next to the mower deck. The trimmer is controlled by a pushbutton switch on the mower handle and is only activated when needed. With this innovation, no longer will mowing and trimming have to be done separately!
